Beauty Blender Vs. Real Techniques Miracle Complextion Sponge

Hey everyone! Over the past few years, these sponges have changed the makeup application game. But which one is the best? Over the past few weeks, I have been trying BOTH sponges on and off and I have noticed a lot of differences between the two. I will be reviewing the Beauty Blender Sponge Vs. Real Technique Miracle Complextion Sponge.

First of all, I bought the Beauty Blender sponge in Sephora for $20. I got the original color in pink. I bought the Real Techniques Sponge at Ulta for $5.99 in the color orange.

Review:

I found very big differences between the two sponges. First of all, the price difference is huge! There is a $14 difference between the 2 sponges. Application: I used the same technique for application for both sponges. Bouncing the sponge onto the face gives a flawless/natural finish look. The beauty blender applied the makeup flawlessly, while using the real technique I has to try a little harder to get the same effect. But, I was very impressed by how well the real techniques applied makeup knowing its only $6.

Cons about the Real Techniques sponge: After a few uses I started noticing that my sponge had some tearing. I was not using in a harsh manner in my face, I was just bouncing it and it was tearing more and more every time used it.

Cons about Beauty Blender: Honestly the only con I could think of with the Beauty Blender is that it’s $20. That’s expensive for just a sponge.

Overall Thought:

I thought they both worked really well. But, I see my self going for the beauty blender for my makeup application. I feel like the real techniques sponge tore really quick while the beauty blender stayed the same. I do believe that the real techniques sponge is great for only being $5.99. If you are looking for an inexpensive sponge I would reccomend Real Techniques.

My Favorite Everyday Makeup Products!

Here are some of my favorite make up products that I use on a daily basis. These products give me the most natural everyday look without trying. I have been wearing make up for years, since I was in high school. It has become something I am passionate about and love doing every day. I will link all the products I love so everyone can purchase them!

First, I apply my primers. My favorite primers are the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer and the Porefessional Primer by Benefit Cosmetics. It gives a nice base for the skin and smooths any imperfections. Next, I take my Cover FX Custom Cover Drops. These Custom Cover Drops are very pigmented, a little goes a long way. These drops are made to mix in with other foundations and creams, but most of the time I just use it alone.

If I need some more extra coverage under my eyes I use the famous Tarte Shape Tape. It leaves my under eyes very bright and awake. To set everything in I use the Covergirl Clean Powder. It’s cheap and it works.

After powder, I finish my face with bronzer the Balm-Bahama Mama, Blush Tarte-Seduce and highlight Wet n Wild-Blossom Glow.

The next step is my favorite, MY EYEBROWS. I love doing my eyebrows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in the color chocolate.

For my everyday look, after my eyebrows, I usually just go in with a mascara to finish the look. But if I was going out, this post would be longer. I go in with the Loreal Voluminous Original in black. This is my favorite mascara, I have been using it for years.

Last but not least, I go in with a lip product to finish off my look. I am a big fan of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics liquid lipsticks. Also, I love the Anastasia Beverly Hills glosses and the Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel!
